Support the Coal Valley Wind Project!

While we 'lil bees have been busy in our studio this summer, other ants have been moving some big pieces of the struggle against MTR forward in Appalachia. In a historic moment, citizens from the Coal River Valley of West Virginia and across the US are working together to block a Mountaintop Removal coal mining operation that would destroy 6,600 acres of forest and mountain. How? By proposing the construction of a wind farm that would create healthy sustainable jobs and clean energy.

To get the wind farm built, an incredible grassroots effort is needed! You can learn more about the project and show your support for the future of Coal River Mountain by signing the petition at www.coalriverwind.org

Please pass this message onto your friends, tell them to sign the petition, and encourage your organization to sign on as a supporter of the Coal River Mountain wind project. By saving Coal River Mountain for wind power, we will all be helping to move West Virginia and the nation forward in the pursuit of a more diverse and clean energy future.
